FROM THE DESK OF THE COMMISH

As some of you may be aware, my dad, James Gregory Sr., passed away on March 12, 2023, after suffering a stroke on December 3, 2022.  The loss of my dad is going to take some time to adjust to as he was loved dearly by all who knew him but I know he is no longer suffering and that his love and encouragement will stay with me always.  I am extremely grateful for all the thoughts and prayers extended to me and my family during this difficult time.

As for county business, I was not able to attend this past commissioner’s meeting but I have been staying on top of the issues, most notably the purchase of voting machines and upcoming budget requests.  There were also some other items around zoning and wastewater that will directly impact District 5 and future development.  Please see additional details below.  I apologize for the lateness of this month’s newsletter, but I hope you can now understand.

Thank you all for your continued support!

Mary
