Micah 6:8 | Running for Mayor of Williamson County, TN.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌷 Today, I celebrate the women Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

Today, I celebrate the women whose love, sacrifice, and quiet strength shape our families, our communities, and the generations that follow.

To the mothers raising children with grace and resilience…
To the grandmothers whose wisdom and steady presence anchor our families…
To the women who pour themselves out daily through prayer, encouragement, hard work, and unconditional love…
And to those holding close the cherished memory of a mother no longer here…

Today, we honor you.

This Mother’s Day is especially tender for me, as it is my first Mother’s Day without my own mother. I feel her absence deeply, but even more deeply, I feel gratitude. Gratitude for her love, her example, and the countless ways she shaped my life through her strength, humility, kindness, and unwavering faith. She taught me lessons that still guide me every day, and her legacy lives on in the values she planted so faithfully.

She showed me that some of the most meaningful leadership this world will ever know is lived quietly through service, sacrifice, and love.

To every mother: thank you for the countless ways you make life better, brighter, and more beautiful.

May today bring you joy, peace, and the reminder that the seeds you plant in love will continue to bear fruit for generations.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed…” — Proverbs 31:28 💕

Politics has a way of revealing character, not jus Politics has a way of revealing character, not just in how we lead, but in how we treat one another.

I’ve always believed public service should be rooted in respect, humility, and a genuine love for the people we are called to serve. Even in moments of disappointment or disagreement, dignity matters.

I will never answer mockery with mockery, nor contempt with contempt. My parents taught me that character is measured by how you carry yourself when others choose the low road.

So I choose grace.
I choose gratitude.
I choose to keep serving with integrity.

Williamson County deserves leadership and citizenship that lifts people up rather than tears them down.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21
THANK YOU SO MUCH, WILLIAMSON COUNTY!!! First off THANK YOU SO MUCH, WILLIAMSON COUNTY!!!

First off, I want to begin by congratulating Andy Marshall and all of the candidates who won their primary election. Thank you for stepping forward to serve our community. Leadership is a calling, and I wish you wisdom and strength in the days ahead.

To every candidate who entered this race and did not prevail, thank you. It takes courage to step into the arena, to sacrifice time with family and friends, and to offer yourself in service to others.

To our volunteers, supporters, and friends, thank you. For your time, your generosity, and your prayers… this campaign was never just about one person. It was a movement built by people who love this county deeply.

To my incredible team who was there from the very beginning, you all ROCK! I am so proud to call you friends. We gave it our all and I will forever cherish the memories we made.

While this wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. Despite being outspent almost 4 to 1 and all the endorsements, we earned 45% of the vote, that’s over 10,000 voices calling for change. That is not insignificant. That is a clear reminder that there are people across Williamson County who are willing to stand up, speak out, and protect what makes this place so special.

Because stewardship isn’t something you just talk about, it’s something you live out every single day.

As we move forward, my hope is that our government reflects not only stewardship, but the will of ALL the people.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

For every chapter that ends, a new one begins.

There are big things ahead—so stay tuned.

I will continue to pray for our county, our state, and for God’s blessings on each of us.

For now, I will take time to spend with my family and be grateful for all of the blessings God has given me.

With much love and gratitude,
Mary & Wade Smith
As I reflect on today and this past year, I’m remi As I reflect on today and this past year, I’m reminded that I’m not extraordinary, I’m simply someone who said yes when God called.

More than four years ago, I felt called to serve, and I’ve tried each day since to walk faithfully in that purpose, guided by the example my parents set: live humbly, work hard, serve others, and keep faith at the center.

When God calls us, our responsibility is simple: obey.
That calling may stretch us, test us, and lead us beyond our comfort but God is in every detail. When we trust Him fully, the road may not be easy, but it will always be meaningful.

I’m deeply grateful for my family’s love and sacrifice, for every volunteer, supporter, longtime friend, and every new friend made along the way. I’m also thankful for the other candidates and their families, who answered their own call to serve. That sacrifice deserves respect.

Thank you for every prayer, every kind word, and every act of support.

I truly believe God has been in every step of this journey.

And I pray to continue walking in the truth of Micah 6:8:
“Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”

That is the path my parents modeled for me.
And by God’s grace, it is the path I will continue to walk.

Work matters. Not just the kind that earns a payc Work matters.

Not just the kind that earns a paycheck, but the kind that **builds families, strengthens communities, and leaves things better than we found them.**

Colossians reminds us that whatever we do, we should do it **with excellence, integrity, and purpose.**

That’s the mindset I’ve always tried to bring to public service.

Whether it’s digging into the details of our county’s budget, working to address traffic and infrastructure, or standing up for taxpayers, leadership should never be about going through the motions. It should be about **doing the work wholeheartedly** and doing it right.

Because when we approach our responsibilities with that kind of commitment, we honor both the people we serve **and the future we’re building together.**

That’s the standard I believe Williamson County deserves.

The future isn’t something we talk about—it’s some The future isn’t something we talk about—it’s someone we’re raising.

It’s in the small voices,
the handwritten signs,
the next generation watching what we choose today.

The decisions we make now will shape the kind of county they grow up in—
the opportunities they have,
and the legacy we leave behind.

▫️ Protect what matters
▫️ Grow responsibly
▫️ Keep Williamson County strong

it’s built for them.

There you go again. Another attack. Another distr There you go again.

Another attack. Another distraction.

But here’s what they don’t want you thinking about—
the people being left behind.

The teachers who can’t afford to live here.
The deputies commuting an hour to protect this county.
The seniors watching costs rise.
The families stuck in traffic, stretched thinner every month.

This isn’t about politics.
It’s about people.

▫️ Asking hard questions
▫️ Standing up for taxpayers
▫️ Putting people over profits and politics

And let’s be clear—
I’m not taking money from out-of-state interests.
This campaign is powered by the people of Williamson County.

Others can answer for where their support comes from.

That’s the kind of leadership Williamson County deserves.

Let’s clarify a few things. 😌 There are no plans t Let’s clarify a few things. 😌
There are no plans to cut Parks & Rec, highways, or sell the Ag Center. That’s simply not how county government works. Financial decisions go through the County Commission—and leadership means understanding that process and being honest with the people.
What matters is this:
Taking care of our people. Watching the budget carefully. Keeping property taxes low. Protecting the future of Williamson County.
▫️ Protect Our Heritage
▫️ Growth With Guardrails
▫️ Fiscal Stewardship
Leadership you can trust—focused on facts, not fear.
